Terms of use
Version 2026-09-30
1. Who we are and what you accept
These terms are an agreement between you and Caona Digital Solutions LLC ("we"), located at 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, email info@caonadigital.com. For any question, complaint or claim about the app, write to that address.
By ticking the box at the start and using OneHill ("the app") you accept these terms. The Privacy policy explains what happens to your data; please read it too.
2. Age
The app is only for people 18 and older. By using it, you confirm that you are.
3. What the app is, and is not
The app helps you record achievements, break goals into small steps, remember them and celebrate your progress. It is not a medical, psychological, mental health, financial, legal or emergency service. It does not diagnose, does not treat and does not replace a professional. Goal ideas and app messages are general suggestions written in advance, not personalized advice. You decide what to do with them.
If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number. You → Help resources has more options. Please also read the Health and safety notice.
4. License
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for personal and non-commercial use, under the usage rules of the store you downloaded it from (including Family Sharing and other sharing the store allows). You may not sell, rent or sublicense the app, or decompile or modify it except where the law expressly allows it.
The app includes open source software governed by its own licenses. Nothing in these terms limits the rights those licenses give you.
5. Your content
Everything you write or add (achievements, goals, notes, photos) is yours. Because it is stored only on your phone, we do not see or receive it, and we need no license to it. You are responsible for having the right to use the photos you add.
6. Your data is stored only on your phone
This is a design decision to protect your privacy, and it has an important consequence:
- There is no cloud copy. The app excludes your data from iCloud and Google backups, and we have no servers.
- If you lose, replace or reset your phone, or uninstall the app, your data is lost and we cannot recover it.
- You can keep your own copy with "Export my data". That copy is not encrypted: store it somewhere safe.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for data loss resulting from this design or from anything that happens on your device.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the app for illegal activities or to plan how to control, monitor or harm another person. Do not try to bypass its security measures on devices that are not yours.
8. Price
The app is free today. If we offer paid features in the future, they will be purchased through Apple or Google, under their payment and refund terms, and before you buy we will clearly tell you the price, the duration and how to cancel.
9. Updates and availability
We may update, change or stop offering the app. If we remove it from the stores, the installed version may keep working, because it does not depend on our servers, but it will no longer receive updates. We recommend exporting your data if that happens.
10. Support
We, and not Apple or Google, are solely responsible for providing support and maintenance for the app, to the extent stated in these terms or required by law. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services for the app.
11. Warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. If you live where the law gives you warranties that cannot be excluded, those warranties still apply.
We, and not Apple, are solely responsible for any warranties of the app, express or implied, that have not been effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be our responsibility.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the previous 12 months or, if you paid nothing, 50 U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in that case, they apply to the extent permitted.
13. Claims about the app
We, and not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, and not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
14. Legal compliance
You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
15. Third-party terms
When using the app, you must also comply with applicable third-party terms, such as the terms of the store you downloaded it from and those of your carrier or service provider.
16. Apple as third-party beneficiary
You acknowledge that these terms are concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple, and that we, and not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content. In case of conflict, the App Store Usage Rules prevail over these terms regarding the use of the app downloaded from the App Store.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
17. Changes to these terms
If we make an important change, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and, where appropriate, ask you to accept it again. If you do not agree, you can stop using the app and delete your data.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York (USA), without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Except as stated below, any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York City, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer living outside the U.S., this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and you may bring your claim before the courts of your country where those rules allow it.
19. Other provisions
If any clause is invalid, the rest remain in force. Our not enforcing a right does not mean we waive it. You may not assign these terms. We may assign them in a reorganization, merger or sale of the business, with notice to you.
